In 2011, I introduced to the partner group the concept of the “Wise Firm.” Sharing it was risky. And it was quite scary for me—as new things often are. Up until the week before my presentation, I was talking to my coach about throwing it out. As coaches do, he asked me the hard questions and helped me to see how it clearly laid out the vision for a culture we could aspire to be. A vision to build a great firm where team members reach their full potential together. As it turns out, my fear was unnecessary. The partners embraced the vision of the Wise Firm and set us on a journey that has been both rewarding and challenging.
And for almost four years, we’ve been collaboratively and tirelessly working to build it, block by block.
Wise Firm is simply the name of the culture we are working together to build at HORNE. It is both who we are, and who we want to be. A place where every voice counts, where each team member has a strong sense of belonging.
Today, I am excited to share with you a new and improved Wise Firm design. I’m even more excited to share that the Wise Firm is now interactive! So I hope you’ll each take the time to interact with the new Wise Firm building blocks and share your positive energy as you complete the journey.
