Sometimes, we feel called to do things that, without God’s blessings and the support and encouragement of family and friends, would be beyond our grasp. Writing my book Leading with Significance was one of my biggies. Just when I was comfortable, I felt my next calling to do a TEDx talk about workplace culture.
My leadership lesson is that we grow the most when we are challenged, when we are pursuing our life’s purpose. We should never stop growing and learning. Frankly, I liked being comfortable. I have never prepared more nor have I been more nervous than when I stepped onto the TEDx red dot.
While on stage, I felt like my feet were on fire because I wanted to move around, my mouth was drier than the Sahara desert and my voice came and went like the wind in March. Through it all, I made it, I grew, and I do know that the message is transformational for workplace culture, for leaders and team members.
That’s why I am so excited to share the link to my recently published TEDx talk, Three Secrets to Magnetic Energy in Workplace Culture. Excuse the nerves and listen intently to the message, as it is what many leaders, team members, and organizations need today as we face an epidemic of loneliness, lack of purpose, and burnout in the workplace.
Remember, the power to elevate workplace culture is in our hands. One conversation at a time can be transformational for any team or organization. One way to lead, one way to start the right conversation on your team is to share the message. The more we share and have conversations, the stronger people-first workplace culture becomes.
