Sure, we all have bad days here and there. Feelings of negativity can quietly creep in and before we know it, we may find ourselves feeling irritable, stressed, or even resentful.
When this happens, I have found that self-reflection is the best solution as it requires us to be fully self-aware. Being self-aware means being introspective—so, instead of identifying what others need to do to improve, we put the focus back on our own self and ask, “What do I need to do?”
The practice of being self-aware is a good habit to be in because it empowers us to make better choices, and it has the power to make a big difference in our attitude instantly!
It has been said that 99 percent of our negativity is often related to feeling entitled to a certain outcome, and that simply isn’t realistic…just like expecting a zero-problem day isn’t realistic!
Let’s drop the negativity and choose to be positive.
