Who’s up for a Thanksgiving Challenge?

Well, here we are again, my fellow food enthusiasts, in that glorious time of the year when we hide our scales and drown our worries in gravy and pie. It’s Thanksgiving, the stretchy-pants holiday, and boy, do we have a lot to be grateful for this year. Remember last Thanksgiving? We were all busy being thankful and avoiding being turkeys.

This year, I’m brimming with gratitude and hope you are too.  One thing I’m intensely thankful for — the overall response to my book Leading with Significance and the efforts that so many of you have made to read and promote the book, write reviews and share the social media posts.  It has been very humbling to see that so many people care.

I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to continue serving, learning, and sometimes tripping over my own shoelaces in the process. If it’s been a journey for you, too, I hope you’ve found comfort and strength in my words, in the stories I share, and in the belly laughs we’ve had together.

This year, let’s extend our gratitude beyond just making a list. I challenge you to act on that gratitude. Maybe send a message to that old friend you’ve lost touch with or perhaps, finally admit that your sister’s dressing is better than yours (Trust me, this is not the case in my family. Sorry, Mitzi!).  This is a season of abundance, reflection, and stretchy pants, after all.

So, here’s to another not-a-turkey year. To finding joy in the little things and appreciating the beautiful mess that life can be. Remember, there’s always something to be thankful for as God has blessed each of us uniquely and gracefully.  I’m praying for a Happy Thanksgiving for you and your family.  Remember to pass the pie and the gratitude around!

CeCe, where’s our scales?
